Demonic possession is a spiritual process by which an individual is possessed and controlled by malevolent preternatural beings, often referred to as demons. When an individual is controlled by a demon, he/she exhibits some strange behaviors that are totally different from conditions like mental illness or Schizophrenia. What are the signs of possession? There are certain signs of possession which include: Strange behaviors The host will start acting strangely in a way they never did before. For instance, they may start smoking or speaking jargon. Their overall behavior is totally off the road. Nightmares Demons are stronger at night, so the possessed individual may experience horrible night terrors. They make suddenly wake up at night and start doing strange things. Uncomfortable with prayer This is one of the most obvious signs a person is possessed. They physically become sick at the presence of a priest or exorcists especially when praying. Stages of demonic possession Generally, there are 3 stages of possession. They are the: Manifestation stage In this stage, the demon comes in and introduces itself to the targeted individual. This may occur as seeing the ghost of a dead relative. At this stage, the demon is waiting to be approved. Oppression stage At this stage, the demon shows its true identity and launches attacks on its host. The attack could be mental, physical, or psychical. Complete passion This is the last and most dangerous stage. The demon completely takes over its host.
