One of the ills that plagues our society today is the lack of energy. Fatigue has become Lifestyle Enemy No.1. The reasons may vary: lack of sleep, wrong eating habits, overstimulation by social media and often, the overwhelming need to be an ‘achiever’.

This energy-drain can rob the get-up-and-go one needs to pursue activities that one loves. It can also lead to stress and result in anxiety, insomnia and other mental illnesses.

So, Thriive spoke to its registered healers and therapists who came up with these 5 energy boosters that you can easily do in 5 minutes. Yes, you read that right. “I don’t have time” is an excuse you can discard as easily as that tired feeling.

So, whether you’re waiting for your kid’s school bus, or your turn at the dentist, or waiting for the office meeting to begin, you can use those 5 minutes constructively.

Energy-boosting hacks to make the most of those 300 seconds:

1. Simple Habit App
Make your phone your friend. Download this Simple Habit App and enjoy a range of 5-minute guided meditations to reduce stress and to bring you into the moment. The payoff is that the effects of the meditation will carry over to all areas of your life.

2. Tapping
Energy flows through our body in certain pathways that are called meridians. And like any hi-traffic area, these meridians get blocked and cause low-energy areas in the body.
