When the sun rises, there is light, when the sun sets, there is darkness. Light comes and goes but Darkness is always there; it is without source- eternal and infinite.
More than 75 percent of our energy flows through our eyes and so in darkness, this energy becomes available to us to experience the beyond.
Darkness Meditation is used by many spiritual schools of Tantra, Shamanism, Osho, Sufism and Taoism to name a few.
Using techniques like breathwork, light gazing & connecting to navel centre through body movements, we will be guided to sit silently in darkness.
Through this process participants have shared different experiences ranging from an elevated state of consciousness, to an awakening of subtle body energies, to oneness, timelessness or deep relaxation.
It is rare to find a place where one can experiment with meditation in complete darkness.
At Zorba the Buddha, every Amavasya (new moon), we create a special dark room for this powerful experience.
