Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto are in retrograde – how are they going to affect us?

26 May, 2020

Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto are presently in retrograde. Mercury will be going retrograde after June 18 until September. This is the first time after many years that we are experiencing these planetary configurations. These planetary positions will bring up challenges for individuals, and especially those in power and governments across the world. Avril Rodrigues, a Tarot Card Reader, Cosmic Astrologer and a Meditation practitioner discusses how these planets are going to affect us and how it is going to be beneficial for humanity in the long run. There is nothing to fear or panic, we should go deep within ourselves to find our own truth and stand stall in the midst of any challenges coming our way.
Rahu and Ketu playing a vital role
Rahu and Ketu, the most influential forces are causing challenges. Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto are positioned between the axis of Rahu and Ketu. However, this is a time of going deep within ourselves since spiritual energies are very high. Ketu has been in Mula Nakshatra for the last one year. Mula Nakshatra is a Nakshaktra of destruction. Ketu will be positioned here until September. It is bringing a spiritual churning since we need masses to raise the universal consciousness of the planet and get in tune with the path of love and light. Rodrigues feels that by September, many more people will turn inward on this spiritual journey of awakening.
Pluto, a planet of transformation brings significant changes within the governments
Pluto is a planet of transformation and has gone retrograde after 250 years. According to Western Astrology, Pluto is already in Capricorn. Capricorn is associated with action in the material world. According to Vedic or Cosmic Astrology which is slightly different from Western Astrology as far as the planetary positions are concerned, Pluto is at the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn. Pluto is connected with the governments and leadership and so there are going to be shifts in the governments and there is a likelihood that citizens may rebel against those in power. Political leaders in India, China, USA and other countries will be affected. How the respective governments handle the situation is something to wait and watch for.
Upcoming solar eclipse in June will cause more challenges
There is an upcoming solar eclipse on June 21. India may face further challenges due to the effects of the eclipse. However, we do not need to get scared of it and only good will come out of it in the long run.
Jupiter in retrograde will enable us to look within ourselves
Jupiter is presently in retrograde which is an indication that the spiritual energies will further expand and it will make us move deeper within ourselves. Mercury will come out from Rahu’s grip on June 18 and also go retrograde until September while Ketu will move out on September 23 which will provide some relief.
The possible effects of Covid-19
According to Rodrigues, the effects of Covid-19 is likely to stay for a year post September after the planets move out of retrograde. At an individual level, people will be inclined more towards God. Those who have favourable planetary positions in their personal horoscope charts will benefit from this retrograde.
Spirituality and service based careers will be the new normal
People will be more inclined towards spirituality and service based careers. It has already started with many corporates, Non-Governmental Organisations and the common man helping the underprivileged. If we give more, we ll get more and we can raise the personal and universal vibrations. Unity consciousness is presently rising and it will further rise.
Revamp of corporate culture
There will be an energetic shift which will bring about changes in the functioning of corporates too. Rodrigues states that corporate honchos and entrepreneurs have already realised that there are no losses incurred for giving sanction for work from home. In fact, it reduces the company’s costs, saves travel time of employees and also reduces carbon footprint, thereby helping to build a sustainable eco-friendly environment. Work productivity will increase if employees get time to do meditation, healing and pursue hobbies everyday. Corporates like Tata Consultancy Services have already asked their employees to do work from home for the next five years.
