He hosts the world-renowned FM radio program, “Inner Journey with Greg Friedman”. He has also been taking small groups of people all over the world to work with indigenous elders in remote destinations including the Amazon Rainforest and done ceremony with Peruvian Shamans, Aborigine elders and elders from various Native American tribes.
He will be presenting THE NATIVE AMERICAN MEDICINE WHEEL at India’s one and only ‘soul’ festival, the Global Festival of Spiritual Sciences, at Pyramid Valley, Bengaluru from 29th September – 2nd October, 2018.
Here’s a conversation we had with Greg Friedman in which he talks about his life purpose and his journey as a spiritual bridge between indigenous cultures and the rest of the world.
THRIIVE: When and how did you know for sure what your life purpose is?
GREG FRIEDMAN: I don’t mean to sound flippant but I have always known I am here to serve and build bridges.
THRIIVE: How has this transformed you?
THRIIVE: Could you share any incident that stands out in your journey?
GREG FRIEDMAN: I have dealt a great deal with death and dying and it has taught me both how to live more fully as a human and that life is much more expansive than just the human form.
THRIIVE: Could you suggest an empowering practice our readers could carry out in their daily life? And also, how.
GREG FRIEDMAN: It is vital to remember that we are each the authors of our own story and not only can we write it based on perception and also by extension we are just characters in other people’s stories and to not take anything personally.
THRIIVE: What message would you life to give our readers?
THRIIVE: What can attendees look forward to in your session at GFSS 2018?
In his presentation, Greg Friedman will explain why Indigenous Wisdom is vital to our growth and how the Native American Medicine Wheel can be employed to help personal health and happiness. This will be followed by a guided meditation. There will also be an in-depth exploration of the different aspects and elements of the Medicine Wheel. Attendees will understand how to employ the energies of the Wheel that resonate with them as well as work in conjunction with the energies that are more foreign. The presentation will conclude with an explanation of Mitakuye Oyasin and a closing prayer.
