“Transcendental Meditation Changed My Life,” says Hugh Jackman
Irrespective of what you pursue in life, one thing that you surely want is to live a good life. That sounds pretty easy, isn’t it? Except for the fact that we are all living different tales and each of our definitions of ‘good’ life is very different.
But nevertheless, some wants that you may have in your life will remain the same- good health, mental peace and a decent standard of living. That just goes to say that our want to stay well is beyond obvious. But what would you do to live that way?
Obviously, sitting on that cluttered couch with loads and loads of dust accumulated on its surface isn’t going to be of great help. Let alone the terrible procrastinator that you have made yourself. That just hints at one thing to optimize results- What is it?
If I had to explain to you in simple terms, transcendental meditation is silent mantra-based meditation. It is a process where you are required to meditate while chanting or repeating the mantras that help in deep relaxation. It was started in the mid-1950s and in the current times, it is becoming increasingly popular.
It is a form of meditation which involves the chanting of a mantra for 20 minutes, twice a day. It helps to reach deeper states of inner peace, calm, bliss, and experience the ‘self’ as pure consciousness. This sort of meditation has proven to be beneficial to a lot of people. This is to be performed early in the morning before breakfast and before dinner at night, but practicing this at any point of time during the day will be a great idea. Here are some of the most common benefits of transcendental meditation:
- Reduces anxiety
- De-clutters your mind
- Lowers blood pressure
- Improves sleep
- Healthier heart
- Improves cognitive functioning
- Reduces stress
- Healthy relationships
- Cuts down addictive behaviours
- Better overall health.
